We have seen our first major event of the year, The President’s Cup, was a tremendous success and set a brilliant tone for the season ahead.

A huge thank you must go to our president The Rt Hon Sir Richard Needham, whose support and enthusiasm made the day feel truly special. His continued commitment to the club is deeply appreciated by us all.

The competition itself was exceptionally well organised and wonderfully supported by members. The atmosphere around the course and clubhouse reminded us why this club is such a fantastic community.

A special word of thanks goes to Cameron, who worked tirelessly to present the course in stunning condition. The greens were immaculate, the fairways beautifully prepared, and those pin positions… well, they were an added bonus for most of us. His hard work really showed.

Our gratitude also goes to Mary and her team, who once again did us proud. The marquee looked superb, the food was excellent, and the whole setup added a real sense of occasion to the day.

The practice golf nets have now arrived and are fully operational, giving members and visitors a great new space to warm up and sharpen their swing.

Looking ahead, June brings one of our most anticipated events of the season, The Masters Tournament. This is a highlight for our club calendar, offering great competition, great camaraderie, and a chance for everyone to test their game under a bit of added pressure. I’m very much looking forward to seeing another strong turnout and plenty of friendly rivalry.
